Deck of the day: Australian Wildflower Reading Cards

By Cheralyn Darcey

Publisher: Rockpool Publishing (2015)

Type: Oracle deck (44 cards)

Size: 14 x 9.5 cm

Comes in a hinged box that closes with a magnet, with a guidebook. The cards sit in a cardboard thingy that doesn’t hold them very well in place after the plastic waistband is removed…

Guidebook: 112 pages. Each card gets a full-page black and white picture and a page of text. You get the flower’s common name, latin name, keyword, and then a few paragraphs of text with botanical info on the flower, and its meaning in divination. There are three spreads, for three, five and twelve cards. In the back there’s a glossary of botanical terms.

Available on Amazon πŸ™‚

Note: I meant to combine this deck with the Flower Reading Cards (also by Cheralyn Darcey), but because of the way that deck is cut, it’s going to look weird. I’m not sure how they would shuffle together as a deck since the cards bend in opposite directions… 😦

See what I mean about the warping or bending? Never mind the color difference, that will be masked once I stain the edges of both decks (Antique Linen, I think) πŸ™‚ But we’ll see how this works when the cards are all mixed up, hopefully there won’t be any sticking out…
